I'm aiming to be a fully qualified Thai Yoga Massage therapist by October 2008. My first experience of Thai yoga massage resembled more of a yoga class with the therapist taking me through guided stretches and breathing techniques. I was totally amazed as the therapist used both our bodies in what seemed like a dance to release my tension and accumulated stress on every level. Thai yoga massage is sometimes called the ‘lazy man’s yoga’ as it puts you in positions you would never have dreamed of reaching on your own and that was certainly true in my case.
Thai Yoga Massage treats your whole body by balancing the energy systems of the body, increased flexibility in the joints, enhanced blood circulation, improved posture and body alignment. Together with stimulating the internal organs to help them function properly, the overall result being a relaxed and balanced recipient. Which I feel is invaluable in today’s stressful environment.
