In addition to his acting career John is also a Magician and has recently received the ultimate accolade of being received as a member of The Magic Circle. John is much in demand for his close up magic skills, with several residencies, weddings and corporate events behind him. Specialising in sleight of hand using card tricks, sponge balls and coins, John puts many of his acting skills to good use providing a witty and entertaining slant on this age old profession.

Roles as Austin in ‘True West’ and work as understudy for the Bill Kenwright productions of ‘Festen’ and ‘The Hollow’ have been capped by playing the lead role of Jake in ‘Breakfast with Jonny Wilkinson’. This was the acclaimed Menier Chocolate Factory’s production performed at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe. He has already augmented this theatre work with video and film, and just recently has done a number of adverts for both Nokia and Hellmanns Mayonnaise.
